A Wild Untamed Land

Wilds of Missouri

Our new farm is a wild untamed piece of land. Several years ago I guess it had a lot of trees cut out, so it's not such a jungle, but in the years the last owner had it, he let it grow up in brambles and such. This won't be the first time we've had to turn a wild piece of land into a productive farm, but hopefully it's the last.  :-))

It is however beautiful here, even with the brush that needs cut out so the grass can grow for our cows. My Dad has been working at cutting paths for fencing, getting the trees and brush cut (while we are still getting moved) so we can get at least a temporarily fence up and get our cows over here. I can't wait till I can look out and see them again on our own farm.

I'm really loving the fact that we have a couple small ponds here, once the place is cleaned up a little, they will be even prettier to look at...yes, the above photo has a pond in it...can't you tell?! LOL

Anyway, just wanted to share a few photos of the wild land we are moving too. Gotta run now though, cause today is my niece's wedding day, and we gotta get ready for it!

Happy Wedding Day Kali!!

  2. Hi, Deb! Wonderful news and photos! Looking forward to watching the progress! I only wish " progress " was a word existing in our little corner. Been a tad bit... frustrating.

  4. It really is beautiful there. Makes me wish we had some land... Though our kids would probably miss having their friends so close by. *lol*
