35 acre farm for sale in SE Nebraska!

The farm sold before to long, we have moved and are now settling into our new farm in Missouri...I'll miss this place, and my wonderful home, but there are things I won't miss...mainly people I won't miss...so I'm sure once we get this new farm built up, we will love it here too. :-))

Our House
The view of our house from the top of our hill

We feel it's time to move on to other views, so we are putting the farm we have built on the market! If you are interested in a 35 acre country home with great views, central heat and air, and a quick 45 minute drive from Lincoln (hour and a half from Omaha) this just might be the place for YOU! The Farm is located just a couple miles west of Tecumseh, Nebraska, a half mile off US 136.

There are wonderful views on one side of the hill, with a large open pasture/hay field and several smaller fenced areas along the creek and by the barn. The other side of our hill is full of wildlife and trees, just waiting for the wildlife enthusiast or hunter to explore its hidden treasures! Come take a walk on our farm and experience for yourself the peaceful serenity we have to offer.

Home
Our house...The house still looks the same, but the tree front and center is quite a bit taller.

We have a two+ bedroom home (two bedrooms and two little rooms we are using for offices) with a large dining room, kitchen with large pantry, utility room, living room and another room just off the living room I'm using as a sewing room. There is an enclosed side porch area with a 2nd pantry area I use for my home canned goods and storage. There is a large attic, up some pull down steps which run the length and width of the main part of our home. Lots and lots of room to store things up there!

Photos of moving our house.
The house, as it turned into our driveway.

We moved the house to our farm land in 2003. It used to sit east of town along 136. After spending the winter and next spring steaming all the wallpaper off the walls, painting, (trim is painted too, cause I couldn't stand the toxic fumes of the paint stripers...and it was painted when we got the house) getting the plumbing in, blowing in insulation in the walls and attic floor, and putting in all new wiring we had the furnace installed in the summer of 2004. The heat pump/air conditioner was installed the following summer (2005).

We also have a barn, two room cabin my husband uses as a wood shop, chicken house, brooder house, garden shed, Quonset hut, tractor shed (open to the east) and a few other miscellaneous outbuildings...not to mention an outhouse (don't laugh to hard...it was the first building on the place, so we didn't have to go find a tree! LOL).

We have a garden area, and some young fruit trees (apples, peaches & cherries) with plenty of room to add more!

We get some beautiful sunsets here on our farm, I can watch their progress in the summer, out my office window...and in the winter as I work around the kitchen making supper.

Another beautiful sunset

  1. Please tell me that even if you do move, that you and the Scroungman will continue to write about the life you both live, The animals and all the things he does to make me laugh!
Your home is butiful and so is the land! I wish I could just pack up my stuff and take it off your hands! But that's not possible>
I will be watching to see what happens and keep you in my prayers!
