Uncle Leon

I just found out today that my Uncle Leon died this last Thursday. The Funeral is tomorrow.

Uncle Leon is actually my Mom's Uncle so he was my Great-Uncle, and a Great Uncle he was! Even though actually he was an Uncle by marriage, he never seemed like it. I always loved going to see Aunt Betty and Uncle Leon when I was growing up, and even though we didn't get to visit often, it was alway something we looked forward to, and we always hated to leave! Uncle Leon was a High School shop teacher and I am sure he was a wonderful teacher!! When we went for a visit, he would always have something he had made to show us.

We won't be able to make it to the funeral as its in Kansas and we don't have the money for Gas, but our thoughts will be there with the family that does make it. I am sure his funeral will be well attented, because him and Aunt Betty are two of the best people I know. He will be missed. My prayers are with Aunt Betty now, because she has lost the man she has loved and been married to for a little over 65 years.
