A Couple Layouts to Share Finally!

I have been playing around lately making some gifts so haven't gotten any layouts done, that I could share on here! But I just got a couple kits that I have to have two layouts each done by the end of the month, so figured I better get get busy on them instead of other things! Its been fun playing though!

I also got a request for a template of one of my layouts, and while I have never made a template before, I don't mind giving it a try, so sometime in the next week or two, I may have a template for you all. We will see how it goes! LOL I don't think its something I will actually get really into making alot of, but I don't mind trying most things at least once. Ok, I don't mind trying SOME things at least once!!


I guess since I have only used one template, I haven't ever thought about trying my hand at making them. I don't mind templates, but I prefer ones that have cool features, over simple ones, that I can do easily enough, without a template, although making that kind could be over my head for my first try! I know PSP will open a PSD file, I sometimes have trouble with my computer freezing when PSP tries to, so I don't now whats going on there, but thats another reason, I haven't used more of them.

Hope everyone is having a great week! It been cool here, getting down below freezing at night now. My DH has been working on our truck all week, it seems to be taking him forever to fix, with having to go to town several times a day, for some reason. I sure hope that stops soon, as our gas money for the month, is in the tank, so when we run out, we are out!! I am completely happy staying home, but.....he seems to prefer running into town which is great, when I need something cause he can usually do it, but after awhile my stingy side comes out, and I don't want him using the gas up all at once!! So I guess I won't even try to find another few dollars in some other fund, for gas, cause the stingy side is showing today!!

My Mom was looking around in the shop at Divine Digital the other day and found a beautiful kit. I was really surprised she was looking at them, because she is on dialup and its hard to surf much, and also she doesn't do layouts (least not right now, because she doesn't have time) but she told me to buy it and she would send me the money for it! Its was a little gift for me, (we like the same things alot of the time, so she knew I would love it) and she was right I took one look at it and fell in love with it too. I played with it a little, but it wasn't working like I was hoping it would (why is that usually what happens when you really like a kit?) so will have to do something else with it. I am hoping Mom will send me some pictures of her for her and Dad's album that will work great with it (hint, hint, Mom!! LOL) because it would be great for heritage pictures which I think is what she was thinking of, but it would also be great for some of the older pictures she has of the past 40 years. So hopefully I will be able to complete a layout with it sometime soon. We will see. She also is sending me enough to get a kit I have been eyeing of Misty Cato's. They are both lavender kits, which is her's and my favorite color!! The kit at DD is here, and Misty's kit is here. Arn't they pretty!!! Thank you Mom!! You know anything Digital Scrapbooking related, is usually the perfect gift! Not that other things arn't! LOL But you really can't (ok, I know some people could manage to get me the wrong thing related to digiscrappin, but....) go wrong getting me things to scrap with!!

Well now that I have written a short book, I need to get off here, and go make supper. I guess I was making up for not posting as much this week! LOL Have a great evening!
