Love

I decided to work with one of Teri's new kits today, and so since it was called Be My Love, I went with that theme, and had LOVE on my mind, I guess!! The first layout is DH's niece on her wedding day. Special Thanks to sister-in-law Katie, for forwarding the photo's on to us, after she got them from them!! The 2nd layout is photo's from DH's and I's photo shoot we did for our anniversary this last fall. He was clowing around in some of them. The many faces of the one I love include: Motorcycle Man, Clown, Tractor Nut, Handsome Hunk, and Farm Boy. I am sure I could think of several more, but thats all I had room for this time around! LOL

Finally after begging (for a year or two!) for DH to make me a hanger for my rolling pin that my Uncle made me, he is working on it!!! I think all he has left to do with it, is put the finish on it. Its not made out of the same wood as the rolling pin, but I had him make it out of Alder, because IF I can ever have new kitchen cupboards (instead of odds and ends we found, here and there) I would love them to be made out of Alder (I think thats spelled right). Its kind of a medium color wood, which is why I would like it. I don't really want dark...like walnut, or light like maple, and he isn't fond of Oak. I don't mind oak, but I saw some Alder cupboards a few years ago, that I liked much better than Oak!!! So thats my dream, to be able to have new cupboards in my kitchen, out of Alder. SOOOO anyway, LOL I can't wait to have it dry, and get hung up!!!

My rolling pin has just been sitting on the cupboard for years, and this way it can be out of the way, yet still displayed! My Uncle made if for me, before we got married, to look like one that one of our ancestors had made...you know one of the family heirloom type things. Its extra special to me, because Uncle Orison made it for me. I have just always hated the thought of burying it in a drawer, where it can't be seen (plus my drawers are not really big enough for it) So hopefully someday soon, I will have it hanging on the wall!!!!! I may just have to take a picture of it, and do a layout with the story! LOL We will have to see.
