New Babies!!!
We FINALLY had new baby goats last night!! We didn't know for sure when to expect them, so have been expecting them for a couple weeks....so we were really glad she finally had them. And that she waited till it was a little warmer, as last year she had them during a snow storm. We aren't expecting any of the other goats to have them real soon, although I think some of them should be in a month or two...maybe three? LOL
Anyway, I was in a hurry this morning, so didn't do anything fancy (plus the kit didn't have a lot of elements I thought would work for this, it was a free newsletter kit, and a nice size for a free kit, finding elements for goats, can be hard LOL) but wanted to scrap the pictures that DH and I took last night. The first one is the 2nd page of a two page layout. The first page I didn't figure I would post here, because some of you could get grossed out. Its of the actual birth. The first one here is the two babies. We have a boy and a girl. The 2nd page is my DH holding the girl when he brought her into show me. I was going to go out, but it was dark, and really muddy (because its been nice and warm, and the snow is just patchy now, mostly gone!!!) and the mud likes me to well, and sucks me down!LOL The little girl we will for sure be keeping, she is adorable. The Mom is a LaMancha so she doesn't have ears...well floppy ones and the Dad is a boar goat. So the girl got ears, and the boy didn't, and I don't think they are as cute without ears LOL

I went out today and got some more pictures of them, so will have to do more layouts. You may get tired of goat layouts! LOL Cause I still have some from last year, to do!!!! They are so little, I always forget how tiny they are when they are new born. The 2nd layout shows both sides of the little girl, as you can see she has a black spot on her rump, but its mainly just on one side, so she looks different depending on which side you are looking at.
Today is a really beautiful day outside!!! Right now its at least 50, and the sun is shining! The only bad thing is the mud....I LOVE spring, but I HATE the mud. But I managed to make it over to the barn, without making my DH's day by sprawling in the mud and wallowing around. I even went out and about, looking for things with cool textures to take pictures of so I can have more textures for my papers. Now I just need to go around the house and take more of things inside the house. I don't know how long these nice temps in the 50's will last, since its still February, but I do enjoy them, while they are here! Enjoy your nice temps, if you are having them!!
Wow, I just reread that, and I'm all over the place today, arn't I! LOL I hope you can follow, my wandering mind! Have a great evening!!!
