I'm finally back, to bloggin!

Yep, I've been home since Sunday night, but Monday we went shopping and to a goat auction, and yesterday I was trying to get things put away, so didn't get much scrappin done. I did get a card made for my Mom for Mothers day, but naturally didn't want to share it, as then she would see it here first! LOL I used some of Blushbutters new papers, and wow, I just LOVE them!!!! I resized them down to my card size, so they look a little different, but I just love the dried flowers, and embossing on them!! She has several different sets of them, so be sure you look at all of her new products, to catch all of them!!! She just keeps putting out wonderful kits!

This first layout is a layout with my whole wheat Bread recipe on it. I got the recipe from my neighbor. We had lunch at their house one time last year, and had some he had made, and I was hooked! So DH talked him out of his recipe, and I try to keep some on hand, most of the time.

The 2nd layout is our newest niece, snug in her parents arms. I thought she looked so comfy, and they looked so proud! LOL I'm so glad I got these pictures!

Kit Credit: Cookery Corner by Lara Payton BTW the loaf of bread is one I cut out of a picture. I really love this kit of Lara's too! Its perfect, with the reds for my kitchen, because I like red in it, yet it works great for non cooking layouts too.

That goat auction we went to was kinda fun, although they didn't have all that many goats. It was actually a goat/sheep auction, and there were naturally more sheep than goats, this time anyway. We didn't get anything, mostly went to see how much things were going for. We should have gotten one, but DH didn't get his hand raised fast enough. I wish now for sure we had, because they ended up selling this goat, and her babies separately. That might have been fine, except that the babies had JUST been born, I'm talking just a few hours old, so I doubt they will survive with out their mom. They really needed a few days with her for sure, and the people who bought them, probably didn't really know much about goats. They paid $40 for two babies just a few hours old....that's stupid if you ask me!! Stupid, to spend the money, and REALLY stupid to separate them from their mother that soon. I feel so bad for the babies, (and the MOM) even though they are just goats. I had fun up until then, at the auction though. We may go back in a couple weeks, and see if they have more goats. I love seeing the goats.

I hope you all are having a great week!!
