When one door closes...
You know that saying...When one door closes, another opens...I'm sure. Well yesterday Shawn (J3 Designs) informed all her layout designers that she wasn't able to keep us on, because she couldn't keep up with the store, designing, and the layout designers. So I was down to two teams again, although I am still a mod on her forum...not that I really do all that much. Then today I went and signed up at DigiZines NEW forum (they closed the old one) and Teri PMed me and asked me if there was any way she could talk me into coming back to her team. Well I have to admit, I get a thrill when a Designer wants me to be a part of her team, I just can't help myself, its nice to be noticed, especially when you are silly like I am, and sometimes let that inferiority complex rear its ugly head. Anyone who has actually read many posts in my blog has probably seen it....Sorry! LOL
I had left Teri's team because of some changes she had made, that I just couldn't make with her, but I still visited her site, and enjoyed finding out what was new. She was the first lady I applied to that accepted me! I actually haven't applied to to many, (Shawn, Vanessa, and Lara invited me) so I was amazed when I was accepted to Teri's team the first time. Now she has invited me back, with just a few requirements and I have to decide if I want to accept. I like her heritage kits...she hasn't really put out many new ones lately though, so it is a dilemma. I am seriously considering it, because she said it would be a support position, where I post when I have time...no pressure, and I get one kit a month, and post one layout per kit....Well I can usually handle one layout per kit, that's very enticing for me! LOL Anyway, I'm going to think about it, and ask a couple more questions, and if you see a third blinkie show up under the Creative Teams I am on category to the left, you will know I took another job! LOL (I think I have a thing with 3's....I like having three blinkys under that category...and even in my layouts a lot of the time, I have to use a certain element 3 times...sometimes anyway!)
Anyway...on to other things! LOL Sorry for the long ramble. I better get this posted, cause the neighbor and DH are bailing hay, and I will prob have to go help pick it up.
The first layout is my Great Grandpa on my Mom's Dad's side. I just had to play with the baby things in this kit, so took a short break from my parents anniversary layouts! Kit Credit: Heart Strings Baby boy add on mini kit by Blushbutter. I just love the browns and blue's in the background!!
The 2nd layout is my Dad and I trying to teach my niece to catch milk straight from the goat! LOL Journaling reads: I remember growing up, and thinking it was so fun to watch the cats catch milk straight from the goat. It was also fun to kneel down and open my mouth, and have Dad shoot milk into my mouth. That warm, sweet goat milk was much better than cows. Then when Kali came along, we tried to get her to enjoy it too. I guess she was to young at the time, because even after showing her how it was done, she wouldn't keep her mouth open wide enough for Dad to get the milk in it. It was really cute though. wow Deb, this page is so cute and I'm glad you love those colours together like I do. Your Great-Grandpa was adorable in that photo and I second you and Idgie he is like that vintage clipart baby! . Its a shame J3 is putting her creative team off, she must be very busy!
ReplyDeleteYour going to miss working with her kits until you can go shopping. I know you really loved her kits and graphics, she is very creative and has a knack of putting lovely bits and pieces together that work really well for layouts :) I guess now she'll have even more time for making more great kits.
I'm glad you you were asked by Terri that is funny how that happened like that :)
I love your niece and you getting goats milk straight from the goat! what an experience, that's really country living to me!
thank-you for sharing , hug's blush
