Beautiful You

Beautiful is a word that means something different to everyone. What one person considers beautiful, someone else might not. To me being beautiful comes more from the inside, than the outside of a person. It shines through their eyes, and their actions. If you happen to be beautiful on the outside, as well as the inside you are truly blessed, as is the case of my beautiful niece. These layouts have some pictures on them that I took this last week, while she was visiting us. You can see her beautiful spirit shinning through her eyes, enhancing her outward beauty. She is truly a beautiful young lady, both on the inside, AND the outside.

I always feel so blessed, to be able to spend time with her, and this last week was no exception. She is a typical teen, who seems to get "bored" easily, but I remember being that way to! LOL We went to see the homestead national monument just outside of Beatrice Nebraska one day while she was here, and she seemed to enjoy it. Its fun to go touch the past and see how people lived. That is as long as we don't have to read every little detail about something, I've never been to fond of having to read every thing in a museum. When I would go with my parents growing up, they had to stop and read every thing, which kinda made me not want to go to museums. I realize its important, but after awhile it gets a bit much, and makes the visit less fun. However this time the small exhibits were fun to see and we both thought the log cabin was WAY to small!! We took her to meet her Mom on Thursday, and while I am never glad to see her go, I am so thankful for the time we could spend together.

We went to the wedding of DH's cousin on Friday night in Iowa. We had a great time and both of us, were very happy we decided to go, even though it was almost 4 hrs one way to get there, and we couldn't stay a long time, as we had to drive back that night. We didn't get home till after midnight, but had a lot of fun. Hopefully I can figure out how I want to scrap the pictures I took, and get them done soon too!! I didn't get any fantastic ones because I wasn't sitting in a good place in the church, but managed to get a few ok ones. Should manage to do a couple layouts anyway. Course the lighting wasn't the best mostly either, so some are kinda dark. I will see what I can do to lighten them up. It feels good to get some scrapping done again!!

I hope you all are having (or had for those of you, who's weekend is over) a great weekend!!

  1. So wonderful to visit you and read all the fun activities you have enjoyed with your neice. She is really photogenic and your photoshots are just fabulous. Love the layouts and you have really used that kit in the most beautiful and elegant manner. Oh my, everything is just awesome. Your colors choices and your fantastic page scrap layout. Can't wait to see the other photo page scraps.

I take earnest your comments regarding beauty. It is the inner-beauty that lives on while the outer-beauty whether real or artificial definitely fades. She is so fortunate that she was able to spend time and for the both of you to attend the family wedding festivities. Fabulous use of more than one photo on that layout. I love it. See you again soon. Leavin LUV! XOXOXO
