Icy Layouts
I got the Scrapbook-Elements newsletter in my inbox this morning, (thankfully I had seen on Microferk Designs blog, that I had to sign up for it again, cause something happen to their list) and one of the free gifts this month, was this kit by Microferk Designs called Midnight Magic. I just had to use it with a few of my ice pictures today!!
This first one is one of my favorite pictures that I took that day, of ice on the fence, and the top of a barn, and silo in the background. I love that beautiful blue sky too, it was such a beautiful day....as I've said before!! *giggle*
This next layout has pictures taken from the end of our drive, looking back toward the house, and at our fence, and some of the tall grass. Its hard to see it in some of these, but everything is covered in ice, and shimmering in the sun.
Its another beautiful day today, although still below freezing. A lot of the ice is off the trees, although I still saw some shimmering at me, in the sun. I don't think we are suppose to have much precipitation this week, at least till the weekend, but who knows, the weatherman isn't always right! LOL
I got started on another kit this weekend, was a little surprised I came up with a theme so quickly, but since I did, I started work on papers, which is what I usually get done first, and finished them, so now I just have to work on elements. I like how the papers turned out, so hopefully the elements work too, so I end up with a kit I really like. Course the colors are blue's (for my Uncle) a little green, yellow, and tan. I'm calling it Precious Memories...yeah, strange how I have a title already, that almost never happens till last *giggle*...and want it to be usable for both men and women, but when I started out thinking about it, I was thinking of my Uncle, because I figured it would be January before it got finished, and my Uncle died in Jan, my memories of him are precious, therefor the name of the kit, and the blue in the kit is for him.
Well I better get off the computer now, and actually do a few things around the house. Seems like the weekend always leaves the kitchen a mess, cause I don't get out there as much as I should, and clean it up. So have a great week, and hopefully I'll be back several times this week with layouts!!
Those LO are really pretty. The blue is nice for the ice.
