New kit by Blushbutter!!

Blushbutter just put a new kit in her store yesterday, and I have had way to much fun playing with it today!! *giggle* Its a "Christmas kit" but as you can see, it can be used for more than Christmas!! I just love that she made it so I could use it too, since we don't celebrate Christmas. I'm sure it wasn't done especially cause I don't celebrate it, but I've been so lucky this year, in that both Blushbutter and Lara Payton put out Christmas kits, that weren't JUST Christmas kits!!!

This first page is my Sweet, very beautiful Niece again. I love the green background of the picture with the pink, and of course with her loving pink, I just had to do a pink page for her, since there was so much pink in the kit. I REALLY love the raffia things that Blushbutter put in this kit!!! I have to admit, I've been searching for a tut, to show me how to make the stuff, and haven't found any, so when I saw it in the kit, I was extremely happy, cause at least I would be able to play with some!!

This next layout is my niece with three of her cousins. I think this is such a neat photo, so even though her cousins are on her Mom's side, and not related to me, I had to scrap it!

The next two layouts are our chickens, and my DH. His oh so tame chickens, who sometimes bug him for extra handouts! *giggle* As you can see, in the first one, he gives it to them too! In the 2nd one, we are taking a short time to sit outside together, for a moment alone....well except for the chickens! LOL That's OK, we both enjoy feeding them, and watching them. I guess we are sometimes fascinated by the simple things in life, which is good, and its really relaxing, which is something that's so nice to be able to do. It helps with the every day stresses, to be able to take time, and enjoy nature.

Kit Credits: Merry Christmas kit and the Alpha's from the first two layouts are from Victorian Wedding kit, and the Silver frames are from the Digital Silver Heritage Frame pack ALL by Blushbutter. I really love this kit, as usuall, and am hoping to have some more fun with it in the next couple days!! Ohhh I forgot, I recolored the beaded swirl in the 2nd layout.

Well as you can see I've been busy scrapping today. I've also had to check my parents Etsy store, and call them with order information because they lost power yesterday morning, with the ice storm that went through. They are still without power, but thankfully they have wood stoves, so can keep nice and warm. They also have a few solar lights as well as oil lamps, so other than the fact that they may be going through computer withdrawals they will be fine. I can't believe I'm saying that about my parents, especially my Dad, but he is worse than Mom about spending time on the computer, now that he has learned they are wonderful things! LOL

Its amazing how for the longest time Dad didn't want anything to do with a computer, and didn't understand how Mom could want one, or spend much time on it. Mom finally got him to learning how to use it, and then she had to fight for time on it, till they could afford to get a 2nd one. I had to laugh, cause I was really surprised that Dad decided he liked it, although I should have known he would, cause him and I are a lot alike.....and we ALL know how much time I spend on it! *giggle*

Anyway, thankfully the mailman has been able to still do his rounds, so they can ship their orders out!! We had some ice here, but still have power thankfully, although there are several towns around who have lost it. Our lines are buried all the way up to the house, so we are a little less likely to loose it, than some are, although I suppose if it was really bad, something could happen so we would. Hopefully we don't keep having worse and worse ice storms this winter, so we find out just how bad it has to get, before we loose it! I really like being able to get on my wonderful computer and play!! LOL

I suppose I better stop this rambling and post at least a couple of these layouts through some yahoo groups. I think I'll hold off and do a couple tomorrow, so they don't get overloaded! LOL

Oh and I have BIG NEWS for you tomorrow, as soon as I can get a couple things finished I will post it in the morning!! Its what I've been spending so much time doing....besides my layouts! I'm going to be so glad to get back to normal, and not have SO much I have to do!! LOL (least I'm hoping I can slow down a little again! LOL)

Don't forget to go check out Blushbutters new kit, and thanks so much for the comments you have left me!

  1. ooooh these pages are so lovely! I got the qp's thank-you :)
I've been working on combining an entire album up using your horizontal pages for the store, this is a mammoth task I can tell you, you have so many wonderful pages. My home page is down again, they are fixing some database errors, what a nightmare LOL
Then my cable went offline, but I'm happy to play in photoshop :)
The boys want to earn money to buy presents so I have nothing to do while they are doing all my chores, isn't that great?!!!! Very hot today, got both air cons going and it's so funny to hear your having ice storms, wow! I hope your parents get the power back on soon! Oh love the feathers on the chicken pages it looks great and gives it that little extra pizazz! Great photo of your DH but where are you? You'll have to set up the camera to get some outside farm photos of both of you or have your SIL do some before she oges. I can't wait to find out what you have been upto!
Your niece is always so pretty, love how you used the kit with her photo, really lovely and I love the photo of all the cousins, so loving! I hope they always stay that close! I better get back to starting some previews for this huge album, I will still put them up seperately but I think it's nice having albums too.
