A GREAT Scrapping Day!
Boy have I been having fun today! I've gotten quite a few pages scrapped (4 of which I'll share now) and I did them all in PS!! I'm so proud! *giggle* OK I know, that's silly, but a month ago, I never would have thought I'd be doing LO's in ps without wanting to switch back to psp. I think the deciding factor was when I learned to blend with the layer mask...while I liked blending in psp, doing it in ps with layer mask's is so much better!! Least to me. LOL I just learned to do that this month, and am now overdoing it...cause every chance I get I blend something on a layout. *giggle* Eventually I'll get past it and move on to something else, but it's just to fun right now!!
Case in point...this first layout, I blended the photo I took of the windmill, that was beside this big old house into the paper beside the photos of the house. I love windmills, so knew I had to use the photo...yet didn't think it would look quite right with the house pictures, without doing something with it...so naturally blending was my first thought, and I have to say, I love how it blended. There were electrical lines between me and it, so it really wasn't the best photo, but with it blended the lines show up, but they aren't near as distracting as they were in the photo.
Anyway, this is a house we stopped at on our way to Ks, it was just a little ways out of the way, and DH wanted to see if it was still there. It's HUGE!

The 2nd layout is our doxie's of course...I was playing with my new camera and snapped their photo's...several times. LOL That's why the title...I called it that, cause I could just hear them saying that....if they could talk.

The 3rd layout is our little niece when we went down for Thanksgiving. She fell asleep over her dinner, and naturally we thought it was cute so had to get some photo's. (I blended the photos into the box bottoms here, since I love blending so much. *giggle*)
Kit Credit: Fresh plus layered edges by GiselaB Designs I think this kit must be made for nieces, because I think I used it for a page or two in Kali's book too. :)
This last layout is of course tractor buddy, getting attention from her favorite person again. She climbed onto his shoulders, and walked around and around his head several times. It was kinda funny. I thought about calling this ring around the collar, but finally settle on Fuzzy Friend. LOL I wonder if I can have that cat featured in ever post on my blog from now on, she does seem to be showing up here a lot lately. LOL

As you can see, for the most part I'm keeping the layouts simple. (except when I use clusters, which has most of the work done for me already) That way I can be quicker, and get more done. The fact that I got 12 done today, even if they are simple, makes me extremely happy, especially since I'm doing them in ps. As you can see, I really am getting used to that program now, and haven't missed using psp today! This means the classes are paying off and since they aren't exactly the cheapest things out there, (course I AM rather stingy, so naturally I have to say that) I am happy that they have gotten me comfortable enough to use ps for layouts too, not just designing. I didn't actually have that as a major goal, when I started the classes, I just wanted to get to know it better, and be able to design kits in it without going back and forth so much. To have it now be my main program, and not use psp for much is more than I had hoped for, and makes me glad I gave in and took the classes!
Ok, I'll shut up about ps now...did I mention that I'm in love with blending in ps? *giggle* Sorry, couldn't resist that.
Anyway, hopefully tomorrow I can get a bunch more done, I'm not sure it's possible for me to do that many or even close to that many, two days in a row, but if I can it would be nice. I forgot I still had some Sr pictures of my niece to scrap, for my book, so I have a few more photos than I knew about left, but I'm still getting close to the end for my 2008 book! Another day like today and I'll be almost done with my photo's, and just have a few that others sent me, that I want to include. So hopefully if not this week, next week will see it finished...although I won't hold my breath! I tend to scrap a lot, then do nothing for a long time lately, so we will see how it goes. *giggle*
I hope you all are having a good week! I guess I should stop boring you and get this posted, so I can go through and pick out some kits for the rest of my Thanksgiving LO's, that way things may go faster tomorrow, if I do manage to scrap more. Thanks so much for your comments!!! :)
