Fun at Arbor Day Farm
Today we got up and headed out to Arbor Day Farm after DH did the milking. We wanted to take our niece somewhere she hadn't been before, and finally settled on there, because we figured we might all enjoy it. They had a trail with a 50 foot high "tree house" which we all climbed (slowly since I'm not fond of heights and DH has bad knees) and once we got to the top we looked at the view and then quickly left cause it seemed to be shaking when we walked around, and I was to chicken to stay that high in the air. On the longer part of the trail we went on there were two bridges that were cool, one of which is in that first photo.
I took lots more photos but haven't had a chance to get them onto flicker yet...just wanted to put a couple on there so I could blog about it...and this one I thought was cute so thought I'd add it. We had a good day, even if we did get tired from all that walking. Thankfully it wasn't as hot as it could have been. We also went on a ride they have that takes us around the farm in a trailer pulled by a tractor. All in all it was a good day and fun to spend time doing something with our niece.
On the way home DH somehow got started singing a couple lines of an OLD song (this one if you want to listen to it), that cracked us up, and then Jazmine started singing it and I got serenaded the rest of the way home and we enjoyed laughing and singing and talking all the way home...and for the rest of the evening, especially since DH found it on youtube so Jazmine could hear the whole song.
"Who put the bomp in the bomp bah bomp bah bomp?
Who put the ram in the rama lama ding dong?"
Yep that song is in my head now with as often as I've heard it tonight, both that one on youtube, and sung by DH and then Jazmine. But we had a fun day together so I guess I can handle having a funny song in my head. Now I better get to bed, so I can get up and see what mischief we can get into tomorrow.
We have made cheese with Jazmine...and then today went to Arbor day farm...not sure but she may be bored for the rest of her visit, cause that's pretty much all the excitement we have planed around here...not that making cheese is to exciting, but it's different. *giggle* Thanks for your comments, and I hope you are having a good week! :)
