It's COLD outside!

Stupid Human

My wonderful hubby took this photo yesterday of our cows. I thought it was cute how Mabel was looking around the corner. I think she was asking him what he was doing out in the cold! LOL It has turned cold here, we got spoiled with that nice 60+ F. weather, and now its just to darn cold. This morning it was below 10F when we got up and left the house to go to a Dr. appointment and shopping. That's not my favorite time to be out, thankfully the cars heater was working nicely.

Our shopping day wasn't to bad, so that's a plus at least, we had fun together. It sure seems like there has been an inordinate amount of laughter going on with us lately...mostly cause of silly little things that I mess up saying. I think I really am loosing it, but least it gives me and hubby a nice laugh, even though it means he is laughing AT me. *giggle*

We splurged a little today when we were shopping and got a few movies, it's not something we do a lot of, but now and then it's nice to have some new ones. I hate this time of year for a couple of reasons (ok probably more than that, but these are two BIG reasons)...there are MORE people out shopping, which makes it slower to get done, AND there are way to many good buys in the stores. LOL There were a lot of cheap movies we wanted, so we got a few. We watched one tonight, and I just have to say...it kinda freaked me out. Goose bumps through the whole movie, and even after it was over. Yes I know, it doesn't take much to freak me out...but hey, I can't help it.

I remember seeing some previews for Premonition with Sandra Bullock when it came out, and wanted to see it (I really LOVE Sandra Bullock movies...usually...least the one's I've seen.) but like usual we didn't go see it in the theater, because its just to expensive and IF we are going to spend that much on movies, I'd much rather buy a dvd so I can watch it over and over again. I don't know when the last time was I went to the theater...I know we haven't since we lived here, and it had been a while before that.

Anyway I saw Premonition in the store for 7 bucks today, so had to get it since it was not to expensive...and we watched it tonight....and I liked it in a way, yet I didn't. Kinda hard to explain. I'm not sure if I had seen it in the theater, that I would have bought it...yet it was interesting...I think. It kinda reminds me of Dragonfly with Keven Costner (but DH said it didn't him, so maybe I'm just going crazy myself)...strange mood wise anyway (not story line), but it isn't near as good as Dragonfly to me. I guess maybe it's just not quite what I expected...which is why I'm saying I liked it yet didn't...or maybe it's just because the ending was a little unexpected, and the alternate ending they had on the DVD was even worse. LOL

I guess my kinda movie is more the "While you were sleeping" kind, (I LOVE that movie) or "Speed" (speaking of Sandra Bullock movies) than the "Gripping Psychological Thriller" Kind of movie, which is what this says it is on the cover of the case, although I've seen MUCH worse movies.

Onward & upward... (or onto a different subject...talking about movies starts to get boring to me after a little while. *giggle* I just had to mention that movie, cause it was...strange, odd, freaked me out, and I liked it but then again didn't...if you know what I mean.)

I can't believe this week is over already, where did it go? LOL I did get some more LO's finished this week, I actually finished January's photos...Yippee!!...but I have a LONG ways to go before I'm caught up, so I really need to keep at it. We will see what I can get done next week. When we were shopping we met one of the guys we got a deer from and he asked if we wanted another one. I guess he also hunts during black powder season...so who knows, we may get another deer one of these days, that will slow me down a little I'm sure, but that's ok, the more the merrier, although we have a nice amount of meat now, so I can't complain. :)

OOPS, Darling, love of my life, I just remembered, you may want to go work in your shop as soon as possible and make me that cutting board you said you would have to try to make, since that cheap piece of junk you used when we were cutting up the last deer broke. I KNOW you could do a way better job on one, than that was. Least I would sure think you could! :)

Anyway, hopefully I'll manage to get back here next week and talk about something interesting...when I spend time scrapping, I don't always have a lot to say, cause nothing different happens. LOL I did get a brand new Nora Roberts book today...(not my FAVORITE author, but one of my top ones) so guess what I'm probably going to be doing tomorrow afternoon (instead of scrapping)! LOL I LOVE reading, although would really prefer christian books, or the older romances where they don't have the bedroom scenes...but I do enjoy a lot of Nora Roberts books, cause she can spin a good tale.

Have a great weekend!

  2. Thanks for the comment on Titus 2 the other day...I'm slow to respond. :) That Mabel is aPRETTY girl. We have a couple Jerseys too...although we might be "giving one back" because we bought a bred cow...and she came into heat a couple days ago. HA! Anyway, thanks for the comment...and the beautiful picture.

  3. I've been wondering... Do the tags in the cows ears signify that they are your cows? Is that what the numbers are for????

We usually just wait for the movie to come out on DVD too... Sometimes I can't wait to see it, but 98% of the time we wait. *lol*

  4. The tags on the cows are for identification...they all were from bigger herds at one time, and I think you have to tag them when you sell them...but am not for sure.
