Been Kinda Lazy
Being Lazy is something I've darn good at...probably the ONLY thing I'm actually "Good" at. *giggle* Not that I don't have things I do around here, after all I do have to do house work now and then, *giggle*, since it affects my mood if it's a total pigsty, (and I hate being in a bad mood all the time. LOL) I even manage to cook most days, at least one meal if not two or three...sometimes I even cook when I really don't HAVE to, although that's few and far between. I skim cream off the milk, make butter, cheese, yogurt and any other thing I can think of, to make with milk, and/or cream (have I mentioned how much I LOVE having a cow for the milk and cream? LOL). I even manage to take photos and scrap some of them now and then. And while some of that I kinda enjoy, I'm not really "good" at any of it.
Being lazy is about the only thing I can think of, that I'm good at...unfortunately that's not something that I SHOULD be good at. LOL Anyway, this week...I've been that way a lot, which is why I've not managed any posts before now, after all, if I'm lazy I don't have anything to blog about. I have done a few layouts, but they aren't fantastic, so "being lazy" I'm not going to bother posting them...to much work. *snicker*
So I thought I'd share a photo of a squirrel I got this last weekend instead...just so there is a kinda neat looking photo in the post. :)
I also wanted to show some lotion bars I have been working on lately, this last batch turned out the best...they have a lilac smell, which was really strong when the mixture was hot, but isn't as bad now that it's cooled off...although it could be a little stronger than I would like...since I want subtle, not smack you in the nose "I'm there" kind of a smell. They have Shea butter in them, which is suppose to be good for your skin, along with some other oils. They are kinda fun to make, and I like using them.
I fell in love with lotion bars this last summer, when I purchased one when we took our niece to Arbor Day Farm. Since then, I did a bunch of research on making my own (along with making my own soap and maybe other things like lotion and lip gloss) and came up with this recipe...which is still being tweaked here and there...but is almost the way I want it. I like that I can make my own lotion bars...cause then I can make them smell the way I want them to, and use the molds I want to use. Course I'm not real good at scents...so that's something I need to work on, if I want to "mix" any.
When I was looking at molds, trying to find one or two that I could use for lotion bars I saw that one with the butterfly on it and fell in love...so HAD to have it. I also got a few other ones, but so far have only used the butterfly one and the heart with roses one. (Not that you can see the roses to well in the photo I took...I guess I didn't have them at the right angle). I really should have been trying a regular lotion this week...but...well as I said, I was being lazy. LOL
Anyway, I guess I should get off here and answer some e-mails...and go hang my shirts up to dry. It was laundry day, and they are still in the washer...since I hadn't gotten around to hanging them up yet. LOL March is coming....so maybe, just maybe that means spring is just around the corner too...least I sure hope so, we REALLY don't need any more snow...and I'd LOVE to get rid of what we have on the ground now.
Have a great weekend (doubt I'll be posting till next week, since this is a lazy week). :)

HEY! Your good at being my wife!
ReplyDeleteHEY! You're not alone! LOL (I'm even trying vitamins, again. *snicker*)
ReplyDeleteAhh so sweet. LOL
ReplyDeleteWeldrBrat I need to get back to taking the things I was taking too...pretty much stopped it two or three weeks ago, when I was having tummy troubles, but need to get back on it now. Course some extra B vits might not hurt either. LOL
I can be pretty good at being lazy sometimes too! *lol*
