Scrapping & CALPC Attack
I managed to scrap a LO last night, and three more this morning, so I thought I'd share them with you, because while these first two are my favorite I don't mind the last two either...although wish they would look better side by side, but just couldn't do the pink with the cows...so those two layouts don't "match" like I like side by side LO's to. At least I was able to put some blue on the cow page, so it won't totally not go with the cat page. LOL I love that I got 4 LO's finished, now if only I could do that everyday, I'd catch up faster! :)
The first two LO's I used a kit I won this weekend!! I was surprised I managed to win another kit from Mystique Designs but am so happy I did, because I sure had fun playing with the last one...and it looks like I will this one too! The first LO is some photos I took of the few daffies we have that still manage to bloom for us, and the 2nd LO is of the new kids we had born last month...and the puppies watching them.
These two LO's are side by side in my book, so since the kit worked for both sets of photos I just used almost the same LO for both of them. Makes LO's go together faster and makes sure they will look good side by side. Hopefully tomorrow I can play with the kit some more!!! :)
Kit Credit for the first two LO's: Seven Days by Mystique Designs Thanks so much for letting me play with the kit Brydka, I'm having fun with it!! :)
The 3rd LO shows some photos I took of Tractor Buddy last month. She is such a sweet cat, and always comes running wanting attention when she knows I'm outside. The 4th is of the first kids of the year and the pups watching them.
Kit Credit for the last two LO's: Life's Little Surprises - iNSD freebie created by the designers at Scrap Matters. I'm not sure if you can still get the kit for free or not, but you can go check out DST if you want it and see! More info on it here for now anyway.
As for the CALPC attack I was talking about (CALPC=cows are like potato chips...you can't have just one) we got a call from a guy we had talked to a couple months ago, when we were looking for another milk cow, and he has one who is about to give birth that he wants to sell. We are drooling over the idea, but just don't have the money for it. *cry* He said she gave 5 gallons of milk a day last year which is WAY more than what Mabel gives us (she is lucky to give us a gallon a day even now that she has picked up a little again). This guy only lives like 50 miles away from us, which is closer than either of the other Jerseys we went to get, which makes it much nicer...especially since she is due to calve soon. I just wish we could get this one to replace Mabel, since Mabel has so many problems with her bag. (No Daisy wasn't a replacement, she was an addition...we want at least two, so one is always in milk. LOL)
He actually told us about two he is willing to sell, the other is a Heifer who is due sometime this year too...both the same price, so neither is affordable to us at this time...although they aren't that BAD of a price, just more than what I could come up with for a few months. Who knew I would be so into buying cows...I've totally LOST my mind! I guess I just want to be able to have two that are good producers and don't have so many problems...hopefully that's the only reason I keep wanting them, and not that I am actually totally infected with CALPC with no hope of a cure. *giggle*
Ok, I'll shut up about it for now, need to post this and get the first two posted at dst before lunch is done. Got other things to do this afternoon. :)
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Take Care.

I love your kitty. How did you do that??? Is it all digital scrapping? ( something I've never done ) It's beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Hannalei, yes it's all digital scrapping. I never was to good at paper scrapping, but loved to mess around on the computer with my photos, so when I discovered digital scrapbooking several years ago it was a perfect fit for me. Besides being cheap (and not having much money) it lets me use supplies over and over again if I want...instead of using something once and having to re-buy if I liked it.
ReplyDeleteThe large photo of the kitty is blended into the background behind it...with photo shop. It can be done in other programs too, although I've only used photoshop and paint shop pro to scrap with, I prefer blending with photo shop.
5 gallons a day...
ReplyDeleteTrying to wrap my mind around that.
Talk about a poor cow! *rofl*
