Yum!
I've had a love of Maple for a LONG time, but living out here on the prairie, we usually have to make do with Maple flavored items...with an occasional Maple treat if we have enough money to buy it when we happen to be close to a store that sells them.
Yesterday after we got back from doing our monthly shopping (Which I seen to hate more every month) we had a friend stop by from Michigan. He brought us a couple bottles of Michigan Maple Syrup, a couple smoked fish and a couple other items. What a wonderful gift! Hubby LOVES fish, and let me tell you he has been enjoying that smoked fish big time. I had to taste that Maple Syrup...and we will be having it on some pancakes tonight for supper!! (I just can't handle that much sugar in the morning so we only have pancakes at night.)
I'm so thankful for our friends, and for God's timing...he knows just when I need a little extra boost. It's been a hard summer for us, with several things that's been going on...especially loosing Rascal, but just when I need it, something comes along to help me be thankful again. For that I'm especially thankful, because I really prefer to be thankful every day...instead of just one day a year. We really are blessed...it's just hard to always see the blessings when the other things get in the way.
I pray that all of you can find something to be thankful for every day too! Thanks for being here and the comments you leave me on my blog or through e-mails. You have no idea how much cheer that can bring if I'm having a bad day. Thank You! :)
I haven't had time to get more photos for my "story" out so...we will see if I can do anymore this week on that, please forgive the hold up if I don't. Have a great week...I've gotta run and find something for lunch. Hubby is extra hungry today guess we shouldn't just have fresh yogurt for breakfast as it doesn't seem to be enough. LOL
Have a beautiful day! :)
What a nice gift!!! You have some thoughtful friends. :)
