Went to Omaha

We had to go to Omaha to the VA today for my DH's knees. He has been having lots of trouble with them and we have had to go every couple months, for several months and this time they finally decieded to try something besides a brace. They are giving him injections in the knee but that also means he has to go up there every week for the next 4 weeks because he has to have 5 total. Hopefully this helps his pain and them giving out on him. I just wish it wasn't so far up there. Granted a 2 hour trip isn't that bad (we used to do alot more traveling than that) but now it is hard for him to sit in the car for that long. Also with Gas so expensive, and being on a fixed income, having to go that far every week is going to cut into our budget. But I guess if it helps him we will survive! We have so far anyway!!
They say he is to young for knee replacement (which I am glad because that is major, and when he had several knee scopes I was a basket case) so they are hoping the injections will help him make it till they deciede they just HAVE to do a knee replacement.
On a lighter note, today was BEAUTIFUL!!!!! It was up into the 60's!! I can't believe how much we have had nice temps this winter!! I mean this is Nebraska!! We should be much colder, and Feb is usually the worst!! Don't tell me we are still going to get a doozy of a storm! Thankfully if we do it may not last long as spring is just around the corner!! Least we are hopeing!! LOL We could still get cold and snow in March though so I suppose I should shut up!! And today is the last day it is suppose to be this nice for a little while. But it was really nice to be able to do our monthly shopping and not freeze!! Course in a way I would rather have been home cause I could have been out in it more, instead of in a store or in the car. But I can't complain about a beautiful day!!! (ok I am sure I could at times, but I won't today!! LOL) Although we do need rain, or snow because its really dry here!
Can't wait till spring and the sound of the frogs down at the creek!!!!!!!!
