Back from the funeral.
Well DH and I got back from my parents today. We went to the funeral on Sat. and then my Uncles left Sunday morning, and we didn't come home on Monday with it being Christmas, in case we would have any trouble on the way, because we had a trailor full of stuff. My DH was planning on bringing home a corn picker that he had bought, and had my brother pick up for him, but when he took my Dad down to Indep. to make arrangements for the funeral, they stopped and talked to my cousin, and he gave him a loader, and a two bottom plow, (Thanks Nip!!) so he brought that home instead, and my brother will eventually (hopefully) bring the corn picker over.
We also brought an old dresser of my Grandparents home (with some cool carvings on the front of it) and an old buffet of theirs. We didn't have room for the secretary (that I remember always sat just inside of the front door at my Grandparents house) so my brother will maybe bring it when he comes over next too. I am not sure where I will put it though, so hopefully we can figure that out, before he comes.
My parents are going to move their office out into Grandma's room now, so will be busy for a little while getting things moved around and all, but then, they will probably sit around wondering what to do, cause they have been talking care of their parents for so long, that now, they don't have to anymore, they may not know what to do. I guess Mom will have more time now to get me pictures, so I could get swamped with pictures to scrap!! Maybe she will even have time, to learn more about Digital Scrapbooking herself. (They are even talking about getting DSL!! LOL I sure hope so, so that way its easier to use their computers when we are over there, and they can both be online at the same time!!)
Hopefully I get caught back up, so I can get back into scrappin alot!! I need to get back to doing their Anniv. album, and my Heritage one, and try to get more 2006 pics done, as its now almost 2007!! Were does the time go?
Just before we left this morning, I thought, "We better go say bye to Grandma", then I remembered, we said our final Good-byes on Sat.....I guess it will take a while to get used to the fact that she is gone, and isn't just out in the other room. It was just a fleeting thought, before I remembered, but kinda made me feel silly.
I hope all of you had a safe and happy week!!
