More layouts with my beautiful niece!!

Yeah, I know, you can tell I love her alot can't you!! LOL Here are 4 more layouts with my niece on them. I suppose I should get back to work on the qp's and layouts for Mom and Dad's album now! LOL I just couldn't wait to do something with these pictures!! I want to do something with the wedding pictures too, so will probably look through my stash for a kit to use with them soon too. We will see. Course I also have the pictures I took when we went to the Homestead National Monument also, but I will get to them eventually I guess.

I had a hard time thinking of a title for the first two layouts (well, the last one too for that mater) so finally just went with seventeen candles since she just turned 17 the day before she came for a visit. I think titles are sometimes the hardest thing for me, on a layout!! LOL

Kit Credit for the first two layouts is: LaParisin by Debbie Pearson

The link to the kit will probably only be good for another day or two. The reason is that Debbie Pearson is not designing anymore, so her kits will be gone at the end of the month. I have liked her things for a long time, and her designs will be missed. Although I do have some I haven't used yet, just haven't had the time, to look for the right pictures. I thought this kit really matched Kali's shirt...course that may not really be a good thing, as she doesn't stand out as much, but I thought it was kinda cool! LOL I did recolor some of the yellow, to a purple in the papers on the 2nd layout, because I thought it made the layout toooo busy with it. Hopefully eventually Debbie will be back to designing, but if not, I do wish her all the best in whatever she does.

Kit Credit for the last two layouts: High Impact by Misty Cato.

I actualy did the first two layouts yesterday, and tried to work on these last two, but no mater what kit I tried, I just couldn't make them come together, although it could just be because I was tired. I went and did my usual morning thing this morning, of looking at several sites, Misty Cato's being one of them, and saw this kit on her blog again. I had forgotten about it, but when I saw it, I went to the store and looked at it closer, and thought maybe it would work. It looked like a teen kit, yet looked like I could manage a page to go with the first one of her and her phone, that wasn't tooo teen like, for the pictures of DH and I with her. So I did something I don't usually do, and bought the kit so I could use it. Usually I don't go looking to buy a kit, for pictures I am working on, I just look in my stash of kits, but I couldn't resist, since it had pink, and (kinda) neon green which are her two favorite colors.

I had alot of fun with this kit, and really love the bright colors in it. Especially when it comes to doing pictures with my niece. I don't know what it is about bright colors, and kids...sorry Kali, I know you are almost grown up, but your still a "kid" to me!! :)

That 3rd layout with Kali and her phone I just had to do, cause it seems that she doesn't let that phone out of her reach. LOL I had lots of fun teasing her about the fact that it was always attached to her. She thought I was crazy for insisting on taking a picture of her with it, but I'm glad I did. The phone (open and closed version) in the layout is her actual phone, it wasn't in the kit. She has a photo of Orlando Bloom on the screen...which you may find it hard to see, but she really likes him. Can't say her taste in celebrities has improved any!! ROFL I don't think he (or Johnny) is very cute, personally...but don't shoot me, as I know alot of you like one and/or the other.

I would like to thank Grambie for posting comments alot on my blog!! I always look forward to reading them!! I love hearing what she likes about each layout!! Thanks to all of you, who post, or e-mail me comments!!! I really appriciate them. I hope you all have a great week!!

  3. Hi, I'm back again today. Don't know how I will feel after the port insertion so leavin a little luv earlier. After reading your blog I had to laugh about your remarks regarding Misty's kit. I know, the same thing happened to me. I have such a stash, but then you see a kit and just can't resist it. I tell you the bright colors are just so gorgeous and highlight your neices photos so well. Love that bright circle with the embellished purple ribbon. The photos within that ricrac just pop with depth and feelings. All your designs are beautiful, but I have to admit, that kit was made for you and you definitely came to the post in time with the two lower photos. I know Misty would be so proud of your professionalism in completing these page scraps. I look forward to seeing another wonderful layout collection. Leavin LUV! XOXOXO!
