Layouts & Rambles
A couple more pages for Kali's book, yippee!! Since I've been kinda slow scrapping lately, I looked through the rest of the photos I need to do for her book, and kinda figured out how many I would have to do each month, to have them finished by May, and I think I should manage it, unless I add to many more, or get slowed down even more than normal. LOL If I'm good, I'll be able to have plenty of time to work on my own books too, so hopefully I can get back to scrappin more. And maybe even a new kit....one of these months, this is why I don't sell anywhere else, because I don't make enough to put them in someone else's store...usually you have to do at the very least one a month, to do that, and as you can see, that just doesn't happen! :)
Anyway, this first layout is Kali, trying my wedding Veil on one time when she was visiting. I thought she was to cute. LOL The 2nd layout is when her baby brother was still born.

I'm in the middle of making bread with fresh ground wheat today, it makes the dough darker than the store bought wheat flour, it seems, but I'm sure it will be just as good...and actually better for you, since the vitamin's didn't have time to leave, before I used it. It does take a little, to get enough flour doing it by hand, so maybe one day I'll get the little motor that goes with it, so it can be electric, but that will probably wait a while. DH was kind enough to do most of the cranking, while I was mixing up the bread, that way I didn't have to take so long to get it made, as I got all the other ingredients put in the pan, while he cranked, and by the time I needed the flour, he had it done. I think we may have a yummy afternoon snack, of fresh baked bread! :)
Its been so COLD here until today. Today its up around freezing, but for the last 2 or three days at least, its gotten down below 0 F. at night and up to around 10 during the day. Sunday morning DH sat and watched several people have trouble out on the gravel road, at least a couple had to be pulled out with a tractor. The road was just one big sheet of ice, once you got to the highway you were ok, because they had that cleared off, but getting there was the problem. Thankfully we were able to just stay in and not worry about trying to get out.
With us not celebrating Christmas, we don't have to travel anywhere this week, until Sat, when we are planning on going to our Aunt's 80th Birthday party...that is of course as long as it doesn't snow or ice between now and then, and make it hard to get out again! LOL I do hope any of you who are traveling for the holiday will be careful and stay safe!!
DH has been doing some cleaning of his office the past few days...starting to make me look bad! *giggle* Usually his office is the worst room in the house, but kinda hard to say that now, so I suppose I should get to work on my office...its got some papers scattered around, and dust. Course Dust is something that is always in my house, as I just can't keep up with it. Oh well one of these days I'll maybe do a little extra cleaning, instead of the day-to-day-what-has-to-be-done type cleaning. LOL I have some painting and staining to do now, so doubt it will be today. I guess I should get off here and get started on that too, so maybe Galen can finish the shelves I wanted him to make.
Take Care and drive safely if you're out and about! Thanks so much for your comments both here on my blog, and through e-mails!! :)
Homemade bread from fresh ground wheat... I would be willing to try that! :D
