Our first real snow of the season

I managed to get a couple more layouts thrown together for Kali's book, while we were getting our first real snow of the season today. The ground (for the most part) is white outside now. We've gotten a dusting a couple times this year, but it was quickly gone, before the day was over. Today we have gotten several inches, and its still lightly snowing. I'm sure glad it waited till we got back from our trip to Lincoln, to the VA (yesterday) before it came! :)

This first layout is my niece with both of her Grandpa's. My Dad is the one with her on his knee...and then the one with the goats at the bottom (for those of you who couldn't guess that. *smile*) The 2nd layout is her and her parents having fun with her in the park.

It really turned cold here this week, Sunday when DH went out to do the morning chores it was in the 40's and before he could get back inside it had dropped down into the 20's, and continued to fall for the rest of the day. The bad part about it was we had wind, which made my office cold...like it usually does when it's from the north. LOL It wasn't at all fun having to get out in the cold yesterday, I was thankful for the warm heater in the car, let me tell you!

I had actually hoped to get more done today, but was kinda lazy this morning...ok not just kinda...totally lazy! *giggle* But oh boy was it nice to not think of the things that I needed to be doing, and just lounge with a good book. It kept me warmer too, cause I could snuggle under the blankets while I read. As I've mentioned before, there just isn't anything better than a good book and a warm blanket on a cold snowy winter's day. :) That's my favorite part of winter...the cozy feeling you can have of being snug and warm in your home spending time doing your favorite thing, while the snow is falling outside. Knowing DH is just in the other room when I want to go chat, or just be with him. How did I get so lucky as to be able to have this wonderful life, where I have the most wonderful hubby who lets me have time for me and my hobbies when he can. I am truly blessed!

I hope you all are having a good week, and staying warm (or cool for those of you in the middle of summer). Thanks so much for your comments!
