Blush ~n~ Dusty QP exchange

I did my 2nd week of lesson's in my Brushes class yesterday, and I made 3 papers in it, and then had to use them in a layout. I thought I'd share the layout cause I really liked the papers. I'm going to have to try to make some papers like this for a kit, I've thought about it, although hadn't thought to use brushes like this...but just never got around to it. I'm loving what I am learning about brushes in this class!! :)

I know it's hard to see the papers much, but they kinda remind me of homemade paper, especially the one under the photo with the frame on it. The photos I used are some friends granddaughters.

We woke up to rain this morning, it's warm enough that it wasn't freezing even, which is great! We usually can't hear it, but it was hitting the window so I got to lay in bed listening to it for a change. I love hearing the rain, cause I grew up listening to it on the metal roof and it can be loud there, but it's something I always loved, and have missed. So when the wind blows the rain against our window it's a little like what I remember, and I get transported back to the cozy rainy days of my youth, all warm and snug in my bed, while the earth gets a refreshing drink, outside.

Rain is something our friends in Australia desperately need, with all the wild fires around. I pray that you all stay safe, and they can get the fires put out soon. I'm so sorry about the loss of life there, and the fact that some of the fires were started on purpose makes it all even worse. Stay safe down there!

Have a good week, hopefully I can get some more LO's done this week, but who knows. I'm fighting getting sick, I think I must have got a bug when we went shopping, so now it's wanting to take hold, and I don't want it too. We will see who wins, me or it! LOL Thanks for your comments! :)
