Kali's Graduation Weekend - Pt 3 The Pond

Beautiful Morning

Ponds are wonderful things. They can help feed your body with the fish they hold and your soul with their peaceful beauty. I really wish we had one of our own, but for now I have to enjoy my parents ponds when I visit there. Last time (last year) I got some photos of the lillypads on my parents pond, and some of their blooms. This year I got some of it with ducks and geese swimming on it and goats eating beside it's still waters.

Grazing beside the water.

I love that photo of the Goats eating beside the water as the sun was getting low in the sky one evening.

I also enjoyed seeing the ducks on the water. They may be one of the ugliest ducks I've seen, but when they are floating around in the pond they are almost beautiful.

Ducks on the pond.

But the thing I liked best was seeing the wild geese swimming with the ducks on the afternoon of Kali's graduation party.

Geese

I didn't get in real close, but it was still really neat seeing them swim around on the pond...

Geese

...I just wish they had stayed longer, before they flew off.

Geese

I keep snapping the photos till they were gone and when I went back and looked at what my camera captured I found the following photo.

Geese

I know the goose isn't clear, because the camera focused on the tree, instead of them but I thought it was cool the way it was framed in the branches so had to keep it and show it off. LOL

As you can see ponds are wonderful things too, and because of the pond being there I have wonderful memories of listening to the frogs at night before I went to sleep in the summertime when I was growing up, which has led to my love of their songs. So go enjoy a pond sometime, I'm sure you will be able to feel it's peace too, if you sit still long enough and soak in the beauty.

Have a wonderful weekend, I'll be back next week and I may actually talk about the party and graduation, instead of animals! LOL Our company canceled on us for the weekend, so we get to finish recuperating from this last weekend without worrying about having others around...least as far as I know. LOL It would have been nice to see them, but maybe they can come some other time. I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday weekend and stay safe out there!!
