Rainy Day

I finally worked on the last page of Kali's book today, I think this leaves prom and graduation photos to finish it up...but I'll have to see once I get around to looking at all of the pages again. I blended two photos into the background for this one, one of the house Kali lived in all her life, and an old photo showing her parents, her when she was tiny, my parents and DH & I.

It's been raining this afternoon some, and looked like it would most of the day. Those rainy afternoons make it hard to get busy sometimes and this one was no exception. I managed to get this LO together but it was slow going...I couldn't shift into high gear for some reason. I had some other things I really should have been doing...but those didn't happen either cause I just couldn't get into doing them.

I actually had trouble doing what I told myself I would do this weekend to, which was work towards getting a kit I'm working on finished...it shouldn't be to hard to finish it, but I just couldn't get in the mood...so ended up working on another project I have in the works. Hopefully things will get better soon, I really need to finish some things I have started...we will see though.

Tomorrow though I have to get my act together as it's packing day. We have to get all the junk we are taking to my parents house for Kali's graduation together (and trust me there is ALOT we are taking) and try to make sure we don't forget anything major. We really should practice singing the theme song to the Beverly Hillbillies, since we will BE them on our trip, well except we won't have granny's rocking chair, but other than that we may as well be.

DH has been working on a divider for the back of the truck, to separate the animals that we are taking...gotta keep milking the goats so they are going, along with one my Dad wants as well as the three babies that are still being bottle fed, then of course we are taking Minqua as that will be her new home, and a chicken my brother wants. That's just in the back of the truck...the front will have a couple coolers, suitcases, camera bag, huge dog bed and blanket, a few odds & ends, DH & I as well as our two doxie's and our new puppy...can we say everything but the kitchen sink yet? *giggle*

Half way there we have to stop at the store and buy some more stuff...not sure where it's going at this point, but I'm sure we will shove it in somewhere, more food for Kali's party, and a couple big 50lb bags of dog food my brother wanted us to pick up for Minqua...the dog food is what I'm worried about finding room for, but I'm sure we will...somewhere...I guess we could tie it on top in place of that rocking chair for granny. *snicker & snort*

All that boring info was just to give you the idea of why we should be singing the theme some to The Beverly Hillbillies? Yep gotta love it when we travel...we don't usually travel lite, but this is worse than usual. I love it though, I really don't care if we are thought of as hillbillies, they are lovable people too, plus it makes life more interesting. LOL

Anyway, I suppose I should stop rambling about our trip and get some other things done. I hope you all have a good weekend, I'm sure looking forward to ours! I'm hoping it's dry least for Sat & Sunday, but we will see. Any prayers you can send up for a good, safe trip for us would be appreciated. Thanks!! :)
