Happy Birthday to the one I love

I want to wish my Darling Hubby a wonderful birthday today!! I love you and hope you have a great day!

I did this LO the other day (but didn't want to post it till today) with the kit I won called Love Forever by Rena Designs! Journaling is a poem I found and I will post it at the end of my post.

I’m so lucky to be spending my life with this Great MAN. He is the one who taught me what true gentlemen are. He insisted on opening doors for me from day one, prefers to walk on the street side of me as we walk down the street and gives me his arm when we are walking if possible. With the snow on the ground, if DH is around close when I go outside, he will stop and walk with me to try to make sure I don't end up falling. (he knows I'm not to graceful at times! *giggle*) Even now that he uses a walking stick he does his best to still do those things and more, which makes me feel cherished and loved.

Another Great Man I know (my Dad) did his best to protect me and give me the love I needed, and even did some of those gentlemanly things now and then, but it wasn’t till I met my DH that I got the full treatment, and found out how wonderful it is to be respected enough to have someone want to do them for you. DH knows I am perfectly capable of opening my own doors…but it’s nice to have him wanting to do it for me.

I count my blessings everyday for this wonderful man God gave me to, and pray that he (DH) is around for MANY more of his birthdays in the years ahead. :) Thanks so much for being a chivalrous Man, Galen, for loving me through good times and bad, and for all the laughs we have together, you brighten my world just by walking into the room. :)

The poem I used on the LO is below.

My Love

by Sean Redenbaugh

When all the flowers have faded
and fallen fast away,
you'll find my Love unchanging
and constant each new day.
When all the leaves have fallen down
and left the trees so bare,
my Love will still be strong
and just for you to share.
When snow and cold have filled the air
and wintertime is here,
my Love will always keep you warm
and fill your heart with cheer.

Hey, Sean Redenbaugh here - just wanted to say nice work. Where did you find my poem for this use? I don't mind, don't worry. It's a gift, you're not selling it, so use it all you want. I just wanted to know where you found it. Also - if you like that, maybe check out my book. (wink wink). It's everywhere - search for my name on barns and noble. Anyway - glad to see someone likes my words.

  8. Hi Sean! I'll have to check out your book, thanks!! Love your poem, it was perfect. To tell you the truth I don't remember where I found it, sometimes if I'm wanting something to add to a scrap page, I'll goggle a theme with the word poem or quote in it, and see what it comes up with...I'm sure thats how I found it. Who knows, maybe I found it on your site. I have a bad memory, so just can't tell you there. I'm sorry I didn't link to where I found it, I should have...and will add a link to your site now. :)

    Gotta love our Dachshunds! :-))
