Think Spring

Cold...Snow...Truck stuck in a drift. That's reality for us now. This week has been really cold here, tonight it's suppose to be 20 below 0 F. after a week that didn't get much above 0. We got 4 more inches of snow this week, and while that's nothing compared to what we already had on the ground, it blew and DH got the 4X4 truck stuck yesterday. His tractor isn't 4X4 and after the first big snow, refuses to go through the snow without going sideways...so thankfully we don't HAVE to get out and go anywhere, cause it looks like we could be here for a while. LOL We may get lucky and have a neighbor come help, once he gets time to, but till then I'm going to stay in and dream about spring!

I'm SOOOOO ready for spring! I want to be able to go outside and get some sun, enjoy the warm temps, and watch the animals frolic around the pasture. I miss visiting our goats and LGD's, and seeing the chickens chasing bugs. I'm missing fresh eggs and being entertained by all of our animals. I'm missing taking to many photos, and there just never seems to be much inside that I want to grab my camera for. I'm also missing not freezing when I'm in my office, and it's been rather cold this week in here...so I don't spend as much time here. So I'm trying to think SPRING, maybe that will take my mind off the worst winter we have had in years. *sigh* Or NOT. LOL



I want to dance with the butterflies out in the wonderful warm sunshine in our hay field. Swinging my arms wide and laughing up at that brilliant blue sky. Spinning like a top with my skirt flared out and thanking God for the beautiful day and the peaceful spot he has given us, here in the wide open spaces.

But for now I will just Thank God for our (mostly) warm house, the animals who have made it, so far, through the cold, and for not having to get out when we can't. :)

Take care, and if you are wondering why I'm not posting as much...there just doesn't seem to be as much to post about when all we are doing is staying in as much as possible and trying to stay warm. Nothing major going on here, and I don't want to bore anyone, including myself by posting about nothing. *giggle* DH is the one who braves the cold to take care of the animals...so he is the one who has more to tell right now.

I've got to get out of this office and warm up, so catch ya later...hopefully next week will at least be warmer...if we are lucky it will not add to our snow for a change too! *giggle*
