It's HOT here!

It's really hot here this week, least so far. We went to a tractor show yesterday, and came home before the worst of the heat hit, thankfully. Last night we had a pretty sunset, and it was STILL in the 90's when I was out getting some photos of it.



We had fun at the tractor show, it was nice being able to go do something off the farm together for a change. LOL We just don't get out much, and while I like that, it's nice to go do something now and then too. The photo above shows the smallest tractor that they had in the tractor parade...it was kinda funny but cute at the same time.

Rascal is still not feeling well, Friday was his best day since he got sick...he hasn't been actually throwing up, but he kinda chokes more than he did Friday or Saturday, so I just don't know. It feels like I've been through an emotional wringer lately cause it makes me so sad to not be able to help him. It hurts to loose someone (or something) all of a sudden, but this hanging on not knowing if they will make it or not is almost worse...cause you can't grieve and get it over with, or be happy they got better.

Sometimes life just seems so hard. *sigh*

However that's life for ya, and we have to go on and learn to deal with it. Thankfully God is there for us, so we know we can make it through whatever we have to.

It turns out we don't have the haying we thought we would be doing this week...something was making DH's tractor die, once it got hot so the neighbor had another neighbor cut it, since he was doing some other of his. DH got some parts yesterday for the tractor, so maybe he can get it back to working right today. We will have to see if the other friend who wanted his cut still wants us to do it, if not then I guess we are done till our second cutting! I can't say it would break my heart if that were the case, but the extra hay would be nice to have so it's up to God...if we need it, hopefully we will have it, if not....that's great too. :)

Soooo....guess what I'm going to be doing today, as soon as I get some milk turned into cheese so we have more room in the fridge. Yep, APPLES!! LOL Better go get busy, want to get some in the freezer first, then I'll work on applesauce later in the week. :) Speaking of apples, I just looked out and saw Daisy down under the apple tree getting her morning treat of the windfalls, and the calf was picking some up and kinda playing with them, tossing them in the air. *giggle* To cute! :) Daisy does love her apples.
