Zoom Doggie
I took the dogs outside again for a little bit this afternoon because it was sunny and not to cold. I like to take them out front, so Peaches learns that she has to come when I call her even if we are going back in, when she wants to stay out.
At first when we got her it was hard to get her back in, I had to catch her to get her in. I decided to start giving them a treat when they came in without any problems, and it's been working. Now even Peaches comes running when I call her to go in. Nothing like bribing them to mind...but if it works, it makes me much happier cause I can't stand having a dog that doesn't mind.
I know I could have taught her to do it without a treat...after all I did Autumn, but it was so much easier to do it this way...I think I'm getting old. LOL
I really need to take the time to learn how to take GOOD action photos with my camera...*sigh*...cause she just doesn't stay still all that much, unless she is sleepy...but I had to laugh when I saw those ears sticking straight up in the one above...so I had to share it, even if it's not real clear.
Today, Peaches had a blast, running around DH who was laying on the ground.
She would run one direction...
...then turn and run the other...
...run in as close as she could to his face, hopefully grazing it as she passed...
...turn and come back for another pass. She would run up the hill to see me, then back down to run around DH again...over and over several times up and down the hill and several times around DH each trip down to him.
Sometimes she would slide under his arm, roll over on her back and wiggle around grabbing his nose and beard and licking...getting him good. Then she would roll back over, leap up and take off again.
I had a good time watching her...she is just to funny.
I think she only has two speeds (usually) either she is standing still or she is zooming around everywhere. Only once in a while does she actually walk around the house with me...usually it's zoom....zoom....zoom! *giggle*
She loves to zoom around me and lead me to where I'm going in the house, looking back over her shoulder now and then to make sure I'm following her...only sometimes I "trick" her and am going somewhere else, so she has to turn and zoom past me again to be in the lead. She's such a happy baby, and loves to make me laugh. :)
With Thanksgiving coming up here next week, she is one of the many things I'm thankful for this year! And to think we might not have gotten her, if we had gone with our hearts and held off getting a puppy for a little while after Rascal died. I'm glad God put it into our minds to look for another one so soon. Praise God! :)
How fun! That picture IS awesome! ... And I love how she was playing with your DH! :)
