Been without internet
We are still alive here, we just spent several days at our new farm without internet, getting some painting done...so I didn't get much computer time cause I had to go over to my parents house to get it, and was to busy to do that a lot. LOL
I did finally slow down enough the last evening we were there to notice the sunset...so had to grab my camera and get a photo of it. Can't wait to see more of them, and find the best spot for pictures! :-))
We closed on our new farm last Wednesday...and painted a couple rooms, as well as put some border up in a couple. Since the paint we were trying to cover was a dark blue, it took several coats to get it covered. Actually the bathroom still needs a coat, cause we ran out of paint for that room...but hopefully one more coat will do it, and hopefully that can be done real quick once we get back there.
I didn't get to many other photos, was to busy...so won't have many before and after photos of my new home (forgot to get some of the dinning room...and barely remembered to have DH grab my camera for one of the bathroom). However, one of these days I'll get around to sharing a photo of the paint the two rooms had in them...and then what they look like now...least hopefully I will. LOL Give me a few more weeks, and I should be able to share more about our new farm...just gotta get the move over!
Now though, I have to finish packing up the house, which could go slow as I fell and hurt my knee the last night at our new farm...but it will get done one way or another. My knee is feeling a little better, I think...so least that's a plus. (Some idiot thought putting tile down in the bathroom where it can get wet and therefor slick was a good idea...I knew it was going to be a problem, but then was in a hurry and forgot to be extra careful.)
Continued prayers for a safe and speedy move are appreciated...we are doing final packing of the house this week!! We only have two or three more weeks before we HAVE to have everything moved...so are trying to rush as much as possible. Am really looking forward to the move being over, even if we will still have a bunch to do at the new place to get it ready for animals. The traveling back and forth gets a bit much, but praise God for the wonderful support of some of our family, they have really helped us out a lot and we feel blessed that they are in our lives. (Especially my parents and DH's niece.)
Good to hear things are going as well as can be expected! You'll be glad those figs are bushes. Much easier to reach. And it might be even helpful with putting nets over the fruit to keep the birds out. My uncle gave me the basic recipe for making the preserves where you can, actually, change up the flavor completely, by using flavored jello! I'll hunt down the recipe and be sure to share!! Keeping y'all in my prayers!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to be exhausted when all this is over! Moving is a big job!
