I'm Back!

Well I did the cover page for my about me journal for the Memory Scraps Contest at DigiZines Digital Den. It was alot harder than I thought it would be, but still fun. (Course if the cover page was hard, how hard is the rest of it going to be! LOL) I know alot of you don't like doing layouts with yourself in them, but its really good to have a record for future generations. It is hard to do and I don't know how easy the rest of them will be (its a 6 week challenge I think) but I am going to try to do all of them, even though I don't have kids who will want it. Part of the challenge was that we were suppose to make a paper, so the background with the flowers on it is by me. The flowers I got from a book from Dover that my Mom got me! BTW the tag that you see that says Beauty on it has the words "is in the eye of the beholder" under it. I also am just doing this for fun, because naturally as a layout designer for Teri, I am not eligible to win!

I know I haven't been posting in here much lately, but hopefully now, I will be able to get back to doing it more often. This last weekend, we took a long weekend and went and helped DH's brother move, which is why I haven't done more. That wasn't all that fun, cause I hate moving, and I think I got bit by something, cause my eyelid swelled up some and hurt. Thankfully its not hurting and mostly back to normal now. LOL

DH's sister gave us a couple of turkeys she had got, while we were at her house (we all went together, so we drove to her house on Friday and then we took her truck the rest of the way) so I am going to cook one of them tomorrow. (She doesn't like turkey which is why we ended up with them) Can't wait to start smelling that wonderful smell of baking turkey! LOL Since we went to my parents for Thanksgiving I am also going to do the whole Thanksgiving dinner thing I think, so will have to make a couple pies too. And of course a little of both traditional fruit salids, that my family always makes! So this year I guess I get two Thanksgiving Dinners!!! LOL

I am just glad that (unless something happens) we can stay home mostly now for a while! Maybe I can get back in a grove of cleaning house (Ha Ha) and Scrapping a lot! I just need to go pick out some kits to work with that will help me get back into it! I hope all of you are getting alot of scrappin done! I know Vanessa (Blushbutter) has been sending quite a few layouts through her yahoo group in the past 2 or 3 weeks, because she is making a cd for gifts this Christmas. Its going to be really cool too I think, cause she has a lot of neat layouts of her boys! So far I haven't made a cd with my layouts but maybe if I manage to get all my 2006 photo's scrapped I will have to put them on a cd as a slide show or something and see how it looks.
