More Ice?

I finished this layout kinda late last night, so didn't get it posted. Its the layout for wk 6 of the Memory Scraps contest at DigiZines Digital Den. Template by Teri Hanson. We were suppose to pick a quote, and do a story that had to do with it.

I just did a story about a series of events that seemed to start with my Uncle's Death and how they led us, to where we are today. Everything does seem to work together for good, its just we may not be able to see that all the time. Trusting in God, to take care of you, is the only way to make it through some of the hard times in your life. I know he has been there for us, its just remembering that, in the heat of the moment, is something I need to work on. I praise God for all the good times, and the bad, as they have helped me grow. I also ask for his forgivness for when I stumble, and "forget" he is there to catch us. And I thank him for all the wonderful blessings he has given us! My DH being the best of all!!!

Wishing things could have been different...or would be different, isn't going to make them that way. With the anniversary of my Uncle's death once again comming up fast, I can't help but wish we could have ended up where we are, and have him still be alive, and I'm sure we could have, had that been the way God wanted it, but I am sure there is a reason he did it, the way he did, so even though I may never understand fully why he had to die young, I just have to remember it was in Gods plan. I am so greatful for the time I had with him. And all my family for that matter!

Wow, that contest/challenge has been hard at times, but has made me actaully have to think, to do layouts! LOL (more than usual) Anyway, once again, its almost the weekend....and we are suppose to get ice!! I can't believe how it seems like every weekend, we are suppose to get a storm through here. Hopefully it won't be to bad, like it was out west a weekend or two ago. I really don't want to loose power for a long time, but I guess if we do, we can move up into DH's shop, to stay warm, because he has a wood stove up there! One of these days, we will get our wood cook stove hooked up in our Kitchen, so at least, if we don't have electricity, we can still keep part of our house warm! I would love to get a wood furnace someday, but that will probably have to wait for a while. Hopefully none of you have a bad ice storm either, this weekend!
