Learning to walk page 1

I try to keep an eye on DSP at the kits people make and will give away, if you buy a different one, and do a layout and post it in a particular part of the gallery. I haven't been doing all that much of that lately, cause didn't want to spend the money, even though I would basically get two kits for the price of one, but the kit for this week, caught my eye, so I went and looked at the kit I had to purchase to get it free, and right away thought of my niece. So I had to go get it, and do a layout for my niece's book, and post it, so I can get the other free kit!! Granted I could wait till the other one is in the store, and then buy it, but why do that, when you can get two for the price of one, just for posting the layout in their gallery by the 17th?!!! LOL

This is page one of my niece, when she is learning to walk. She is standing in my Grandma's kitchen, hanging onto the sink cabinet, and was really proud of herself I think, cause she could walk pretty good, if she was hanging on. My niece loves pink, and lime green, so since this kit had a little of both (or close enough), I thought of her.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. We had a funeral to go to on Sat. It was a 19 year old kid, who had a brain tumor (I think thats what it was anyway), he was a cousin...kinda distant, but still a cousin of DH's. We didn't really know him, but do his grandfather, so went for him, because he is always really nice and fun to be around. It sounded like the boy was too, because people talked about his big grin, that he always wore. Its really sad, that he died so young. Other than that, our weekend was good.

Not much else going on here, so I'm going to get off here, and get some other things done. Have a great week!!

I have always loved this picture of Kali. You really did a beautiful job on the LO. The colors are great for her. Hard to believe the years have passed so quickly and she will be 18 in July.
