Blush ~n~ Dusty QP exchange

I've been kinda slow the last few days, taking it easy, not been real sick, although I haven't felt 100% but thankfully it never got as bad with me (least so far...knock on wood) as it did with DH. However I've had slight headaches now and then, as well as being really tired, so I've not gotten much done. My poor house could use a little cleaning...ok a lot of cleaning, but what else is new. *giggle* I also really need to get back to scrapping, so today I decided to try for the qp's for the exchange on Blush ~n~ Dusty, and hopefully tomorrow I can do a layout...we will see. LOL

These are the qp's I did, they really aren't anything exciting, but its what I came up with today, in my attempt to get back to normal.

Yesterday before the snow got here...or the snow that was suppose to come and then didn't that is, DH wanted to get some visiting done, so we went to see a cousin, who's husband had just died, since we didn't catch her at home, we went to see one of DH's favorite teachers from when he was in school. She is a really nice lady, and we ended up staying longer than we had planned, but had a wonderful chat with her.

Other than that, not really lots going on, besides keeping warm and DH getting over the flu, and me fighting it off. We did get our end of the year tax bill, which is the first, since our farm sold, and was actually pleasantly surprised (odd huh! LOL). I had enough left after paying it, to order a grain mill I'd been wanting, so I could grind my own flour for my homemade bread. The vitamin's leach out of flour if you store it, so I thought it would be nice to have a way to grind some fresh. I grew up with that, so it will be nice to get back to it again, after all these years. We just have to find the best place to get the wheat now, and I'll be set!!

We haven't been eating lots of bread, it really goes through cycles around here of eating it, and then not, but when we want it, its sure nice to have it, besides there really isn't anything better than bread fresh out of the oven....hmmmmm the smell is to die for as well as the taste of that wonderful still warm slice of heaven. Needless to say, I'm thinking its past time to make some more....or even maybe some dinner rolls, hmmmm which should it be. LOL I'll have to see what tomorrow brings, if I'm in the mood for scrappin, I'll probably put it off, if not, and I remember my thoughts of tonight and feel like it, I just may whip up a batch of something yeasty...since I do have some whole wheat flour that needs used up in the freezer. That way once the grain mill gets here, and we get the wheat, I can use it, without worrying about wasting the other. :)

Well I better get off here, I want to go to bed early again tonight, I have felt less tired today, but don't want to push it. :) I hope you all are having a good week!!
