A decision made...finally.

I've been wracking my brains trying to figure out the easiest way to do my 2009 book...to be able to have nice pages but get them done quickly since I have gone way overboard on how many photos I took this year. I finally came to the conclusion that I need to have some pages that I reuse over and over for our goats at least and maybe some of the other animals too so basically I just have to drop in new photos and text. These pages may change a little with the season's, so I get a little more seasonal elements or colors in them...but with the number of photos I am behind on scrapping it's the only way I can think of to catch up. We will see if I get to bored with doing it that way! *giggle*

These two pages are a couple I did today and will be kinda what the pages for Jan. & Feb. will look like (I think). I will just add more frames or take some away, depending on how many photos I have for the page. I did a 5 photo page too...and don't think I want to go any higher than that per page...so some of my pages will have to be double pages, or I'll have to get rid of some of the photos. That is unless I decide to use a different frame like a stamp, that has more slots...only time will tell what I decide that way. LOL

I'm sure that through out the months I'll do special layouts too, that doesn't match that months set...I've got a few LO's finished already that won't match, but for the biggest number of pages, especially the ones with our animals on them (goats anyway) they will match a lot of the LO's for that month...or season. I also have the added bonus, of being able to use the LO's I did for Kali's book of her graduation, since this book will be the same size...that will be several LO's right there that are already finished!! :)

I was looking through the kits I had looking for one with browns for our goats, and didn't find all that many but saw this one that was new out today on New Life Dream's blog, and had to get it, even though I've been being extremely good at not buying kits lately...guess I just had to splurge for a change. LOL I love the browns in this kit...I love color too, but some of my goats photos I just want brown for, so this should work wonderfully well. Not sure why I don't have many "brown" kits...since I KNOW I will ALWAYS have animal photos to scrap! *giggle* I got the freebie she had on her blog, then couldn't resist the whole kit. Thankfully it's pretty big so I should be able to reuse it a lot, since I've really been trying to not buy anything lately with having other things we needed to do.

I have really been waffling back and forth on how I wanted to do the pages for my 2009 book, and doing all fresh ones each time is great...but knowing how slow I can be, I knew I'd have trouble ever getting the book finished...so knew I had to come up with something. It's a BIG relief to know now, kinda how I'm going to do it. At least NOW maybe I can get a move on and get a good start on this years photos, before the new year gets here! LOL

Now that I kinda know this might work, I do need to work with Dusty Bear's newest kit this next week though. I just had a mind block, with wondering how to get a bunch done on this years photos, that I couldn't get myself to do as much scrapping as I should be doing...I'm hopeful that now I'll manage to scrap a little more often...if real life doesn't interfere! LOL Course I doubt I'll share as many pages as I used to, if they are all going to look close to the same...we shall see. You may be stuck just looking at photos I take, instead of the LO's. *snicker*

Anyway as much as I hate to, since I was on a roll scrapping, I gotta do a few things around the house, so have to get off this computer for a little while. We were suppose to have a partly cloudy day...which to me means I would see the sun here and there, but it hasn't been around much yet again...we even got some rain, which wasn't suppose to happen! I have to admit I am getting a little tired of not seeing the sun...usually we don't have such a long stretch here where we don't get much sunshine, but we have only seen it a little bit here and there in the past two or three weeks. It could be a LONG winter, if that's the way it's going to be...cause no sunshine gets depressing after awhile...which makes time seem to go by slow. LOL

I gotta start trying to make shorter posts...blame the dreary weather! Sunshine makes me want to go outside more...so then I wouldn't have as much time to bore you all to death by chatting...course then I get more photos that I tend to share, so it's a vicious circle! *snicker*
