Silly Cows & Doxie

Grouchy Doxie (1)

After coming home from shopping today (we were going to wait till Monday, but DH needed something before then, so we had to go today) I went out with my camera and the doxie's to the top of the hill to see the beautiful GREEN that our world is turning. The cows were up there too, enjoying the hayfield after being left in their winter pasture for most of the day...since we were gone. This is probably the first time the dogs have really been up close and personal with the cows, without a fence between them...and it wasn't a pleasant experience for Autumn and Mabel. *giggle*

Autumn found herself quite a ways from me, with curious cows between her and I, and when they came up to investigate this is what happened (see photo above). Daisy got to her first, and she just kinda crouched down and stayed still, but when the 2nd cow (Mabel) came up to see what this small pipsqueak was, she decided she had had enough of the big huge monsters and turned into a tiny monster herself and leapt towards Mabel with her teeth snapping, snarling and startling Mabel at the audacity of that tiny little pipsqueak. Mabel jumped and kinda sidled sideways and forward, Autumn snarled and snapped her way past her and then walked my way, and the cows went on munching their way away from us...probably a little wiser when it comes to checking out those little dogs...they can be MEAN!! *giggle*

I got 4 photos of the confrontation, I thought this is the funniest, but the others are on flicker.

Cows & Views

The crops aren't in yet, so the fields beyond us aren't turning green, but it's still a pretty view on top of our hill. This is just one of them. Gotta love the brown of the cows with the green grass...least I love it! LOL Except meeting Autumn, this is what they did when I was out with them, till I headed back to the house. Then they kinda headed down the hill to...which kinda surprised me. I got down by DH's shop, and Mabel started kinda running and jumping around, which started Daisy to doing it. They ran all the way down past the house, kicking up their heals and jumping or "Dancing" around. Mabel, the quiet one did it too...I couldn't believe it, but got their photos, giggling all the while. As before, the other photos are on flicker, I had to share this one of Mabel though...cause she doesn't usually do this.

Dancing Cows

It's not as cute on film, as it is in real life, but I actually got a couple photos of both of them jumping around...just not in the same photo. LOL Two grown cows, one who has really been kinda slow since we got her last year, jumping around acting like calves...I so LOVE watching them! Almost as much as I love watching goat kids running around playing. LOL What can I say...I'm easily entertained....and I LOVE animals. :)

I really kinda think they thought I was out trying to round them up to go back in their pasture for the night...and they weren’t ready to go, but it was still cute, even if they did think they were "back talking" me, saying "No, we aren't READY to go IN!!" *giggle* Course I wasn't out there trying to get them to go in, so they "won"...wonder if I should have made them, so they knew they had to mind me....*sigh* oh well, maybe next time. LOL

Well better run, hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and for all you scrappers...Happy National Scrapbooking Day! Don't forget if you have a few extra dollars, there are a ton of wonderful sales in the digi stores this weekend...well except for mine, since I haven't actually added anything for a while, I didn't bother putting mine on sale. Blushbutter has hers on a 30% off sale and it looks like Dusty Bear is 40% off, as well as many other wonderful designers...so have fun!
