Camera Shy

Silly Autumn

We were sitting doing our nightly bible reading, when Autumn decided it was time to entertain us again. With the 15 or more 5 gallon buckets of apples sitting around waiting to be worked on (I haven't been able to the past couple of days because DH had Doctor appointments, so we weren't home much) Autumn has had all of her favorite food that she wants. Course she doesn't bother ASKING us if it's ok, she just goes and takes one out of a bucket, any time she feels like it...we REALLY need to move them so she can't, but...not sure where to put them. *giggle*

Anyway, this evening she was in fine form...might have had something to do with us being gone so much the past couple days, but she has had two that I know about since we came home....ate half of one, then got another and carried it around in her mouth. She even got up on my lap, and just sat there with it in her mouth. When she got down I ran and got my camera, which naturally had the wrong lens on it, and when she got up onto DH's lap, I snapped the photo above. Then she decided to get camera shy, and put it down till we were done reading...then hopped down but when she saw me put my camera to my eye she dropped it so I got this...

Camera Shy

The little mutt, least she could do is let me get some cute photos, if she is going to steal apples! *giggle* It's not like we don't have plenty for her to have some, I just don't want her to get to many of them so she gets sick...or to leave half eaten ones around all over the house. Thankfully she doesn't do this all day, just some of the time...and since I think she hates to be left, I think she is worse tonight. LOL

Getting in on the act

Rascal even got in on the act...he found the half eaten one Autumn left, grabbed it, and headed out of the room with it. As you can see he is still doing much better, and has gained most all of the weight back that he lost when he was sick. :)

*sigh* What would we do without our fur babies to keep us entertained? *snicker* They do a really good job of it usually...it was just so funny to see her carrying an apple around, and just sitting there holding it in her mouth.

As I mentioned we haven't been home the past couple of days, so nothing got done around here. I did start planning a few blog posts about our farm, while sitting in the waiting rooms, since I've never blogged about getting a farm, and having our house moved onto it. I've got some old photos that I want to share of the whole process...so will try to get several posts together...to kinda give you a tour of our Hillbilly farm and how we came about having it.

Getting the farm and moving the house onto it happened before I started blogging, so I never shared to many of those photos. I'm afraid (since I'm kinda long winded) that it will be several posts worth...but I'll try to post one now and then, when I find all the photos and get a post written...could be once a week, or once a month...just depends on what else is going on and what I feel like doing. LOL Hopefully you won't find that to boring...I think the "house moving" was so cool, I'd never seen one moved before and was really impressed! :)

Tomorrow I have a bunch of catch up to get done around here...and get organized again, so more apples can be turned into sauce, gotta see how many jars I have left and how much room I can find in the pantry before I decide if I can do much more sauce. I am still drying them though...and will as long as they don't start rotting on me...or getting to soft. Dried apples keep longer, and don't take up as much room...AND they make a great snack! :)

Anyway, hope everyone is having a wonderful week! Gotta get off here. :)
