Butterscotch Brownies

Butterscotch Brownies

Since I can't seem to find time to think of anything to chat about on here this week, I thought I'd share a recipe instead! Hopefully next week things will calm down and I can share more than that. With being gone way to much for doctor appointments, I just haven't had time to do everything I need to do. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! :)

This recipe was given to me by one of my SIL's. When she was staying with us, she came home from a weekend away with this recipe she was excited about. She isn't a chocolate lover, but does love butterscotch, so was thrilled with these brownies. I wasn't sure I'd like them as much as I do chocolate brownies, because I'm in love with chocolate so much...but I do have to admit, these rival chocolate brownies!! Ya gotta try them, if you haven't already!! :)

Butterscotch Brownies
Printable Recipe

1/2 cup butter (I melt mine...makes it easier LOL)
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup pecans (chopped)
1 bag butterscotch chips

Cream together butter and brown sugar, add the eggs and mix well. Mix in the flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla and then add the nuts and butterscotch chips. Make sure all the ingredients are mixed well, then spread out into a greased and floured 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25 minutes, or till tooth pick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

We like our brownies a little underdone, so I try not to overdo the baking of them.
